The Beatles Were A Boyband - 18 - 27 August 2023

The cosy, safe world of three flatmates is rocked by a woman's murder. Now Violet's scared walking home from her late shift. Daisy's become an accidental activist drawing unwanted attention from the manosphere. And Heather just wants to get on with her life. After all, who really needs to change to make women safer? This unforgettable play by Rachel O'Regan and feminist theatre company F-Bomb returns to Gilded Balloon, having won a Scotsman Fringe First Award and the Sit Up Award for social impact.

Daisy is an Instagram beauty influencer in her 20s. Outwardly as confident as you can be in a patriarchal world. Vocal about what she cares about even if she hasn’t found the right words yet. Not the kind of girl you want representing your cause, but that’s kinda the point?

You wouldn't be required for all of the rehearsal weekends (just two) because we are still working out the exact dates with the venue. But at this stage we would ask that you would be available.

- 28, 29, 30 July
- 4, 5, 6 August
- 11, 12, 13 August
- 18 - 27 August (performance at 7:30pm)

Rehearsals and performances will take place in Edinburgh. We are not in the financial position to pay for travel or accommodation, so we would ask that you are based within commutable distance of Edinburgh.

Unfortunately we were not successful getting funding this year and are only able to offer profit share. This isn’t a decision we take lightly and all three actors (including yourself if successful) will receive an equal split. However we are very confident we will achieve a profit based on last year’s success.
